Osmo Genius Starter Kit

Genius Starter Kit is Osmo’s flagship game collection. It contains five digital games that use physical pieces to teach the basics of math, spelling, and spacial reasoning.
It is designed for kids ages 5 to 10.
My role as Product and Design Lead was to coordinated with three international teams in refreshing Osmo Words, Numbers, and Tangram. I worked with each team in unifying and boosting game content to have higher retention across the suite of games. I was responsible for leading the design of a shared monthly release initiative that connected game and marketing efforts with parents and their kids.
Games
It was my responsibility to write or compile detailed game documentation used for external usage based on the games that my teams developed together.
Osmo Tangram
In Osmo Tangram, arrange physical tangram pieces to match on-screen puzzles. This game is designed to be a great way for kids to exercise spatial and visual problem-solving.
Osmo Numbers
In Osmo Genius Numbers, play with physical number tiles, including dots and digits. This game is designed to teach basic math concepts like counting, addition, subtraction, or multiplication.
Osmo Words
In Osmo Words, arrange physical letter tiles to spell secret words. Each letter you get correct, appears on screen, until eventually the entire word is revealed. This game allows kids to practice their spelling skills at a variety of difficulty levels. Unlock prizes and dance moves as you progress across multiple thematic levels!
Genius Special Activities
A year of monthly content awaits everyone who owns Genius Starter Kit. Editorials on real world experts and activity printables related to the theme are sent to parents each week. The content is adapted for both parents and kids to be fun, engaging, and educational.
I designed and then led the creation of a monthly content system that sends weekly emails, printables, and educational content to parents to share with their kids. Each game has exclusive access to special event content and unlockables in Osmo Words, Numbers, and Tangram.
